July has certainly been a scorcher at Dale Farm but that hasn’t stopped the weeds. Much of the time has been spent weeding to allow the crops to grow but we have found time to tidy up the edges of the Farm.
We have also begun to harvest parsnips, soft fruit, potatoes, shallots and cucumbers amongst others. Do visit to see what is available and buy from our on-site shop.
If you are wondering where all the bees have gone, they are on our borage, now over 3 feet high in places. Hope they have time to pollinate other crops.
A bequest on behalf of the Uren family has been used to buy our service users a pair of rigger boots. These have now arrived and have been given out. The old wellington boots will be recycled.
